How do I enroll in Direct Deposit?
How do I request a copy of my W-2?
  • To obtain a copy of your W-2, you may register and log into the secure portal . Cal Employee Connect allows state employees to view, print, and electronically save their own W2, direct-deposit earnings statements, and more. To register, you will need:

    • one of your recent paystubs, issued within the last six months. If you have any past stub statements, you can use any paper and electronic pay stub dated February 2023 current to register.

    • Warrant Number: Refer to your paystub must be an 8-digit number, please include a dash after the second digit (e.g 00-00000)
    • If you are having problemsÌýor you do not have any pay stubs, contact Payroll Services at (562) 985-8897 or email dhpayrollservices@csulb.edu, and they will be able to further assist you with the information you need.Ìý
    • Total deductions: $XXX.XX (Gross Pay – Net Pay)
  • You may also request a copy of your W-2 by completing a Duplicate Wage and Tax Statement, contact Payroll Services at (562) 985-8897 or email dhpayrollservices@csulb.edu.
  • $8.50 processing fee for each year requested.
  • This form MUST be completed and submitted to the State Controller’s Office with payment enclosed.
  • Please note Payroll Services does NOT maintain any copies of W-2(s) within the office.

How do I get my paycheck if I am not enrolled in direct deposit?

Each department/college has a designated check handler. Check handlers are responsible for picking up live checks from the Cashier’s Office on pay day. If you are not on direct deposit and are looking for your paycheck, please contact your division HR Liaison or Academic Resource Manager (ARM) who can direct you to your unit's designated check handler.

How do I request a Verification of Employment?
  • If you are an employee with CSUDH seeking employment verification for yourself, please complete the Employment Verification Request Form [PDF].
  • The Employment Verification Form MUST be submitted to Payroll Services via the .

How do I change my State and Federal Withholdings?

How do I change my legal name?

How do I submit court orders/Subpoenas?

Court orders or Subpoenas for an individual must be delivered to that person directly. Subpoenas for lawsuits against the University need to go to the Chancellor's Office. For further details and contact information, visit University Subpoena Coordination website.

I have questions about entering my time in Absence Management/Time and Labor.
  • All students and hourly intermittent time must be entered by the last day of the current payroll calendar [PDF] month.
  • All student and hourly intermittent time sheets are due in payroll by the 1st day of the following payroll calendar [PDF] month.
  • All absences, no leave taken, and CTO must be entered and approved in Absence Management by the 5th of current payroll calendar [PDF]Ìýmonth.

I have a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) form, where do I submit my form?

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness form typically includes full SSN. For the security of your data, forms containing full SSN should not be submitted via email. Please submit your PSLF form to the , or deliver to WH 340.
