Purpose:ÌýThe Graduate Association of Social Work (GASW) at CSUDHÌýwas founded to promote student involvement in social issues, enhance cultural diversity, and pursue social justice through community service, interactions with career professionals and facilities, and campus awareness of the social work profession.Ìý

Mission:ÌýÌýOur mission is to promote educational and advocacy events that foster the acceptance and inclusion of LGBTQ+ students on the CSUDH campus and in the larger community.
CSUDH Chapter: Omicron Chi Purpose:ÌýTo provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work. Phi Alpha offers membership to social work students, faculty, and practitioners. Students from BSW and MSW programsÌýwho are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or accepted into candidacy status are eligible for Phi Alpha membership. The qualifications for individual membership in the Omicron Chi Chapter are as follows: This national honor society recognizes academic achievement by students in the social work program.ÌýEligibleÌýgraduateÌýcandidates must:
