Local Students Blend STEM and Dance in SITE’s 2nd Annual Summer Camp

STEM Dance

For the entire month of July, SITE, in partnership with STEM From Dance and the College of Education, welcomed more than 30 young learners, ages 8–18, to our 2nd Annual STEM From Dance Summer Camp. Each day, campers immersed themselves in the unique intersection of science, technology, and the arts—coding in the morning, choreographing in the afternoon, and discovering how creativity and problem-solving come alive when STEM meets movement.

What began as curiosity quickly grew into confidence: students not only learned to write code and design choreography, but also to collaborate, take risks, and express themselves in new ways. By the end of camp, their hard work and imagination culminated in a vibrant final showcase, where more than 150 family members and community supporters gathered to celebrate the campers’ original performances. The event was more than a show—it was a testament to the power of blending innovation with artistry, and to the incredible potential of our next generation of coders and creators.
