Greetings MA in Education: Curriculum & Instruction (C&I) Teacher/Scholars,
Welcome to ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú, Dominguez Hills and the College of Education! It is certainly an important moment in our history and world to be advancing your education through graduate studies. On behalf of our faculty and staff, I want to welcome and commend you for participating in our collective effort to pursue educational justice.
My name is Dr. Ed Curammeng and I am the C&I Graduate Program Director and I am excited you're a part of our program. The MA in Education – Curriculum & Instruction (C&I) option is designed for individuals committed to justice and equityÌýin education. We engage cutting edge interdisciplinary research, critical educational theories, and practical applicationÌýacross all PK-12 content areas. Develop expertise in curriculum design and instructional practices to examine schoolÌýsystems through frameworks related to: power and resistance, intersectionality, critical pedagogies, educationalÌý justice, and critical literacies. Upcoming course offerings include: research methods for the teacher/scholar, trauma/ healing informed pedagogies, Ethnic Studies & education, and critical race praxis in education.ÌýÌý
