Message from Dean Jessica Zacher Pandya

Welcome to the College of Education at CSU Dominguez Hills!

The 2025-26 Academic Year is going to be a good one for the College of Education at CSUDH. We work closely with school districts such as LAUSD, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Lynwood, Compton, Green Dot, Aspire, and many others to prepare teachers, school counselors and leaders for schools in the LA region. We actively pursue our vision and mission, and are proud that we work with and for the diverse multilingual communities in which we live.

The COE鈥檚 Student Success Center supports undergraduates and credential candidates. Our graduate students鈥擬.A./M.S. and Ed.D.鈥攁re well supported by their faculty advisors. Faculty at CSUDH are running several federal grants, including one that promotes and supports the professional development of , as well as state grants to create residency programs with partner districts and to help classified school staff earn teaching credentials. We were gifted with that began in Spring 2025. We are home to the Snap Inc. Institute for Technology & Education, bringing high-quality, standard-aligned computer science to the educational experience of all K-12 students in the Los Angeles area. CSUDH鈥檚 College of Education is a busy, vibrant place to study and work!

Our leadership team includes Associate Dean Corinne Martinez as well as five Department Chairs, our Interim Academic Resources Manager Abraham Gonzalez, and several key staff. One of my favorite things about being the Dean is that I get to talk to students, staff, faculty, community partners, and college supporters. With each conversation, I learn more about how to support the great work we do together. To learn more about me, visit my site and/or feel free to email me and set up a time to meet.

Message from Associate Dean Corinne Martinez

Dear College of Education Community,

I'm honored to serve as your Associate Dean and excited to work alongside our staff and faculty in support of our students and our mission. For those I haven't yet met, I want to share a bit about who I am and what drives my work in education.

I earned my Ph.D. from UCLA and have spent over 25 years in higher education, including roles as department chair, program director, and faculty member across multiple CSU campuses. Most recently, I served as Interim Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Development here at CSUDH. Throughout my career, I've been deeply committed to educational equity and social justice, co-founding the CSU Center to Close the Opportunity Gap and securing over $3 million in grant funding to support systemwide initiatives.

What matters most to me is creating pathways for student success, particularly for the diverse learners we serve, here at DH. I believe in collaborative leadership, faculty empowerment, and building systems that center equity in everything we do. Whether working with teacher candidates, supporting faculty development, or strengthening our programs, I'm guided by a fundamental belief that education can transform lives and communities.

I look forward to learning from you, working with you, and continuing to build a College of Education where every student can thrive. Please reach out via email comartinez@csudh.edu

With gratitude,
Corinne Martinez, Ph.D.
