K–12 STEAM Programs at CISE
At the CSUDH Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE), we design and deliver technology-rich STEAM learning for K–12 students. Our programs center on the Challenge-Based Learning framework—students investigate real-world problems, develop solutions together, and communicate their impact—so learning is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and purpose.
The Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE) at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) remains steadfast in its commitment to the Apple Community Education Initiative (CEI). Over the past five years, this partnership has empowered us to embed coding and computer science into public K–16 education across the Los Angeles region, engaging thousands of students in hands-on, challenge-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and inspire a lasting passion for STEM.
Through the Tech 4 Every 1 (T4E1) initiative, CISE continues to expand access to equitable, technology-driven learning by equipping the next generation of teacher leaders through targeted professional development and micro-credential programs. These opportunities empower educators to integrate innovation and digital literacy into their classrooms, creating a lasting ripple effect across schools and communities. Collectively, our efforts have reached 15 school districts, engaging over 550,000 K–12 students, 1,423 teachers, 1,632 parents, and 248 undergraduate interns, reflecting the depth and impact of our shared commitment to transforming STEM education.
