Credential & Degree Programs

  • Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) Authorization (live online)
    The Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) Authorization is an added specialization to an existing Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Counseling, School Psychology, or School Social Work. The CWA authorizes specialized supportive counseling work in the areas of student and family welfare, student attendance improvement, and truancy prevention and intervention.
  • Clear Induction Administrative Services Credential (hybrid online/in-person)
    CSUDH Clear Administrative Services Program is a Hybrid, individualized, job-embedded, two-year coaching program. The program consists of individual coaching and professional learning (a minimum of 20-30 hours of coaching per semester and 20-30 hours of professional learning per semester).

Standalone Course & Certificate Programs

  • Assistive Technology Specialist Certificate (asynchronous online)
    The Assistive Technology Specialist Certificate Program prepares you to fully understand and implement these federal and state mandates within their school, district, or program. Each of the courses meets the professional development hours for license renewal as required by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, as well as other state agencies.
  • Communication Sciences & Disorders Certificate (asynchronous online)
    The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorders is a program offering the knowledge required for an education leading to a career as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). After attaining the Certificate, students will be able to apply for entrance into a Master’s Degree Program (MA/MS) in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech Language Pathology. In order to participate in the program, students must possess a bachelor’s degree, in any major, before applying.
  • Community College Teaching Certificate (live online + asynchronous online)
    The Community College Teaching Certificate is a graduate-level program that is designed for individuals aiming to kickstart their career in community college teaching. The program provides training in community college teaching and prepares individuals for teaching opportunities at community colleges.
  • Components of Care Course for Educators (hybrid online/in-person)
    The Components of Care curriculum was developed to support teachers in supporting African American students in the classroom. There are six modules that address the various competencies that are necessary for teachers to understand and internalize but are often missing from teacher education programs.
  • Critical Embodied Wellness (CrEW) for Educators (asynchronous online)
    This cohort-based hybrid program is designed for K-12 and higher-ed professionals who seek to integrate wellness, healing-informed pedagogy, and sustainable care practices into their teaching and professional lives. Through a series of Saturday sessions and online modules, participants will explore and apply four key dimensions: theory (understanding systemic and personal dynamics of care), practice (embodied mind‐body strategies for self-care and teaching), community (peer learning and shared reflection), and transformation (impactful change in the classroom, institution, and self). Students can earn 3 university units while being equipped with the tools, community support, and personal insight to promote resilience and wellness in their educational context.
  • PK12-AI Integration Certificate (asynchronous online)
    This program will prepare California PK-12 teachers to understand, teach, and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibly into their classroom and curriculum.With the passage of California Assembly Bill 2876 all California Teachers are required to integrate AI into the core curriculum for all public PK-12 students in the state. Rollout for the statewide integration of AI literacy will begin during the 2025-2026 school year, and learners will be able to immediately apply lessons learned from the program into their classroom.
  • Proficient Mentor Training for Educators Course (live online + asynchronous online)
    Proficient Mentor Training for Educators is a research-based, systematic approach that presents mentoring information and best practices. This comprehensive and interactive course offers multiple opportunities for practice. Through knowledge acquisition, skill-building, and reflection, students learn how to cooperate in a mutual teaching and learning cycle. This course is designed for educators seeking mentoring knowledge and skills: e.g., prospective and practicing mentors, veteran/master teachers, university fieldwork supervisors, administrators, and professional development leaders.
  • Successfully Navigating the Title IX Maze (live online)
    Title IX is a federal law passed in 1972 that prohibits sex-based discrimination in education programs or activities receiving federal funding, ensuring equal opportunities for all students, including in athletics and academics. This two-session, online course provides practical approaches to effectively determine if a violation of Title IX or DHR has occurred, the requirements of Responsible Employees as mandated reporters, required actions of Responsible Employees, and the appropriate actions to take in given situations.
  • TEACH UP Certificate Program • Course Series for Educators (hybrid online/in-person)
    The TEACH UP Certificate Program (Transformative Education for the Advancement of Community and Holism for Underrepresented Populations) is designed to support educators in creating inclusive, learner-centered environments that serve diverse and underrepresented populations. This live online 3-course certificate program guides education professionals in developing practices that support English language learners, special education populations, individuals with social-emotional needs, and other historically underrepresented groups across K–12 settings.
