For students impacted by the content of the required Title IX training
Alternate Title IX training with CAPE closed on Sept. 17, 2025. Please email ovw@csudh.edu to request an alternate option.
All CSUDH students are required to complete Title IX training under federal and California law. For some, the standard online format may feel emotionally overwhelming, especially for those who have experienced past harm.
CAPE offers an alternate way to meet this requirement through a live, one-on-one Zoom session facilitated by a confidential CAPE counselor/advocate. This alternate format delivers the same required content, your rights, university policies, and available resources, but in a private, trauma-informed, and emotionally supportive setting.
This option is intended for students who feel distressed by the standard online training. It is not a general alternative for convenience.
To be eligible, students must schedule the alternate training by September 17, 2025.
Before your session, you鈥檒l receive a confirmation email with your Zoom link and a link to the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy.
During the session, you can keep your camera off, ask questions if you鈥檇 like, and choose whether or not to share anything personal. Everything you share is strictly confidential.
After your session, CAPE will confirm your completion with the CSUDH Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI), which oversees the student Title IX training requirement. We will only provide your name and student ID. Nothing you share during the session will ever be disclosed.
This training is required for all CSU students as part of a systemwide effort to prevent sexual misconduct and create safer campus communities. It cannot be waived, but students may choose to complete it in a format that best supports their needs.
