The Toro Learning & Testing Center is looking to fill various Instructional Student Assistant Positions:

• Tutors hold drop-in group sessions that cover content & study strategies.
• Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders attend designated courses & hold group study & tutoring sessions.
• Embedded Tutors attend designated sections & tutor in class and at the center.

If you are interested in supporting one or more of the following subjects/courses, log onto Handshake and apply for all open positions. Those who apply by May 1st will be given priority consideration.聽

• GE Statistics
• Pre-Calculus
• Calculus I, II, & III
• Clinical Science
• Business Math: Accounting, OMG 321, & FIN 360
• Biology 120, 220, & 250
• Chemistry 195,110,112, 230 & Organic Chemistry
• Computer Science
• Physics
• PSY 330 & SPSS
• Designated courses in collaboration with departments

Basic Requirements

• Ability to support multiple high demand courses or at least one SI or ET designated course
• Have at least a 3.0 overall GPA
• Earned a B or higher in the courses you are interested in supporting
• Will be enrolled in at least 6 units at CSUDH if employed
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Have at least 10-20 hours per week of availability during peak center hours
• Can commit to a set schedule for the semester
• Prepare to attach the following
• • A resume
  • A cover letter that shares your interest in the position & your Fall availability聽
  • Unofficial transcripts that reflect B or higher grades in the courses/subjects you are interested in supporting
• Eligible for Federal Work Study funds preferred but not required
