Major in Labor Studies

Community members rally in support of Amazon workers in Downtown LAThe consists of 30 credits, which is about ten courses. Coursework emphasizes workers' rights, political economy, workplace issues, labor law, inequality, racial and social justice, the environment, organizing, and economic democracy. We encourage our majors to include elective coursework from related disciplines including History, Sociology, Women鈥檚 Studies, Anthropology, Accounting, and Human Resources to match their studies to their personal interests. We welcome double majors.聽Required classes are offered evenings, weekends, or online.

Curious about Labor Studies? We offer General Education courses in Lower and Upper Division Humanities and Social Science areas. Our GE courses are a great way to see what Labor Studies has to offer, while making progress towards your overall BA requirements.
