Winter Break Dates: Saturday, December 19, 2026 - Thursday, January 21, 2027. There is no additional cost to stay on campus during Winter Break for academic year residents.

First-Year students (freshmen) are required to live in the Residence Halls. Apartments and Residence Halls are available to upperclass students (Transfer and Continuing).

How do I request a housing accommodation under the ADA and FHA?

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fair Housing Act (FHA), ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú Dominguez Hills is committed to providing reasonable housing accommodations to students with documented disabilities. What installment payment options are available?

Academic Year: Applicants may pay their fees in one (1), two (2), or six (6) installments.

Spring term: Applicants may pay their fees in one (1) or three (3) installments.

Summer: Applicants may pay their fees in one (1) or two (2) installments.

A one-time installment fee is charged if you pay in more than one (1) installment:

  • Academic Year: $25 for two (2) installments; $50 for six (6) installments.
  • New Spring applicants: $25 if paying in three (3) installments.

This fee is non-refundable.

Are utilities and internet included in housing costs?

All utilities (electricity, gas, and water) and wireless Internet service are included.

Is there a security deposit? Is it refundable?

Yes. A refundable $300 Security Deposit is due before the start of occupancy, when a space offer is made. Please refer to the Application Checklist for more information on the Security Deposit.

What is the Residential Student Association (RSA) Fee?

A non-refundable $25 Residential Student Association (RSA) Fee is charged to all confirmed residents with an assigned Housing space once per academic year.

Is there a fee to cancel my License Agreement early?

A $50 License Cancellation Fee is assessed to residential students who request and are approved for early termination of their License Agreement.

All fees are subject to change by the executive order of the Chancellor of the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú and/or the CSUDH Administration.

What is the typical market cost of a one-bedroom apartment near campus?

For informational purposes only: In accordance with California Assembly Bill 990, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú, Dominguez Hills provides the typical market cost of a one bedroom apartment in areas surrounding the campus.

1 Bedroom/1 Bath: $1,900–$2,000 per month

Why might my off-campus room and board costs differ from the Cost of Attendance estimate?

The Room and Board expenses included in the off-campus Cost of Attendance represent the typical costs students pay when enrolled at CSUDH. Actual costs of room and board will vary.

Many students living off-campus have roommates, which decreases their housing costs.
