Financial Aid & Financial Assistance Options

There are several financial assistance options available for students completing their MS Cyber Security degree.

Federal Student Loans

The U.S. Department of Education offerslow-interest loans to eligible studentsto help cover the cost of higher education. Eligible students must be:

  • admitted
  • in good academic standing
  • enrolledat leasthalf-time (6 units) in a program leading to a degree, teaching credential, or approved certificate

If you are eligible for a Federal Student Loan, as a graduate student, you can only qualify for an Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan, so you are responsible for all the interest that accrues on your loan. Based on the information provided on your FAFSA application, theCSUDH Financial Aid Officewill determine your eligibility and the actual loan amount you may borrow each academic year. If deemed eligible, funding will come from. These funds must be REPAID, and you will repay a Federal Direct Stafford Loan to the U.S. Department of Education.
