On Saturdays at 11 a.m., he hosts 鈥淢ottek on Money,鈥 the number one source for business and consumer news in Southern California.

Dr. Jennifer Brodmann

Dr. Jennifer Brodmann is an assistant professor of finance at 好色先生 Dominguez Hills. She graduated from the University of New Orleans with her Ph.D. and M.S. in Financial Economics. Her research focuses on corporate and entrepreneurial finance. Dr. Brodmann has presented her research at several conferences, including the Eastern Finance Association, Southwestern Finance Association, Academy of Financial Services, Academy of Economics and Finance, and the Gulf Research Council. Dr. Brodmann鈥檚 research is published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Economics and Business, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Business Accounting and Finance Perspectives, Journal of Economic Cooperation and Development, and Borsa Istanbul Review.

Dr. Brodmann has multiple years of experience teaching and mentoring students. She has served as a mentor for the CSUDH Innovation Incubator, faculty mentor for the South Bay Economics Forecast Student Research Competition, and a research mentor to undergraduate students for the Privateer Undergraduate Research and Scholarly UNO Experience (PURSUE) program. Her students and mentees have published their work with her in peer-reviewed journals and presented their research at the South Bay Economic Forecast, Academy of Economics and Finance, CSUDH Student Research Day, and Innovate UNO, an annual student research conference at the University of New Orleans.

Dr. Fynnwin Prager

Fynnwin Prager, Ph.D., is co-director of the Economics Institute at CSU Dominguez Hills, College of Business Administration and Public Policy. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research associate at USC鈥檚 Price School of Public Policy and Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE), and he remains affiliated with the center.

He received his Ph.D. in policy, planning, and development from the Price School. His research has focused on the policy and economics of disasters, particularly environmental and terrorism policy, and the impacts to regional economies and transportation systems.Dr. Prager鈥檚 dissertation focused on climate policy, and used Computable General Equilibrium modeling to analyze the economic and distributional impacts of US federal emissions trading policy. He has also worked on similar assessments of California鈥檚Global Warming Solutions Act (AB32) and co-founded Carbon Retirement, an innovative London-based carbon offsets company.

Dr. Jose Martinez

Jose Martinez, Ph.D., received his bachelor's degree in economics from 好色先生, San Marcos and his master's and Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, San Diego. He is currently teaching microeconomics and macroeconomic principles and international business in the Accounting, Finance, and Economics Department at CSUDH. His research interests are labor economics, applied micro, migration, crime, and time series econometrics. Dr. Martinez also is co-director of the CSUDH Economics Institute.

Nestor Garza, PhD
Associate Professor
Nestor Garza holds a Ph.D. in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge and specializes in spatial economic analysis, land markets, and public policy. His work has been published in journals including Urban Studies and Land Use Policy, and has been supported by organizations such as the World Bank and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. He has held academic appointments in the U.S. and Colombia and consults on economic and policy-related issues.


Mega-Events Panel

Allie Coulter serves as Director of Honda鈥檚 LA28 team, leading the company鈥檚 engagement with the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. In this role, she works at the intersection of corporate strategy, brand partnerships, and global sporting events. Coulter brings insight into how multinational companies plan for and activate around mega-events, balancing brand visibility, community impact, and long-term regional legacy.

Stephen Cheung is President and CEO of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and World Trade Center Los Angeles, where he leads regional strategies to build a more inclusive and competitive economy. Under his leadership, LAEDC has emphasized industry clusters such as sports, entertainment, trade, and logistics鈥攕ectors deeply connected to mega-events. With prior experience overseeing international trade and port-related policy for the City of Los Angeles, Cheung brings a regional and global lens to discussions on how major events drive investment, workforce development, and long-term economic impact across Los Angeles County.

Adam Duvendeck serves as General Manager of Dignity Health Sports Park, one of Southern California鈥檚 most complex multi-venue sports and entertainment campuses. In this role, he oversees operations across stadium, tennis, cycling, and community recreation facilities that regularly host large-scale professional, collegiate, and community events. A former two-time Olympian and national team cycling coach, Duvendeck brings a rare blend of elite athletic experience and operational leadership, offering insight into how mega-events are planned, executed, and leveraged to deliver value for fans, partners, and surrounding communities.

Yancey Modesto is Associate Vice President of Facilities Planning, Design, and Construction at 好色先生, Dominguez Hills, where he oversees capital planning and infrastructure development across the campus. His work focuses on delivering complex projects that align institutional needs with sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement. Modesto offers a public-sector perspective on how mega-events intersect with long-term facilities planning, campus development, and regional infrastructure investment.

Rob Cordero is LAX Branch Manager for JAS Worldwide. His work places him at the center of trade, port activity, and transportation infrastructure critical to the region鈥檚 economy. Cordero brings an operational, on-the-ground perspective on how logistics networks respond to market volatility, infrastructure constraints, and growing demand tied to population growth and major regional events.

Linda Rosenberg is Director of Customer Success at Partner Engineering and Science, Inc., where she helps clients navigate risk and opportunity across the real estate lifecycle. Drawing on more than three decades of cross-industry experience, she specializes in translating complex environmental, engineering, and construction data into actionable strategy. Rosenberg offers a pragmatic view on how sustainability, due diligence, and resilience are reshaping real estate development and investment decisions in logistics-heavy markets.

Jon Wright is Founder and Principal of Spear Partners, a real estate investment and development firm focused on innovative housing and mixed-use projects. His background spans private equity, large-scale commercial development, and senior roles in federal economic and trade agencies. Wright brings a forward-looking perspective on modular construction, housing affordability, and the integration of artificial intelligence into real estate development, highlighting how emerging tools and policy frameworks are transforming logistics-adjacent and infill development.
