• Engagement with student success. Our faculty takes the time to get to know students, helping them develop their skills and interests, exposes them to new opportunities, and helps create their professional network so they are motivated and prepared upon graduation.

• No audition requirement for admission into our majors or minors. All students interested in Theatre and/or Dance can pursue a degree regardless of experience.

• Technical Theatre Program with student design opportunities and a strong pathway to the professional world.
• Teatro Dominguez, formed in 1991, is a multicultural theatre company dedicated to enhancing cross-cultural understanding on campus and in the surrounding community. Our play readings, workshops and folktale-based shows are often written by students and performed in local schools
• Black Theatre Program (BTP) is committed to staging works by new and established African American dramatists, that illuminate the African American experience for people of all ages and ethnic groups.
• Mosaic Dance Company provides a professional training experience for the students involved and provides dance education and performances to underserved populations in the community.
• Forensics/Speech Team: Use your voice to make a difference. Perform your favorite poetry or author. Debate hot topics Research & write speeches. Improve your public speaking skills.
• Conferences for students: American College Dance Association (ACDA), Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) United States Institute for Technical Theatre (USITT)
• Accessible Location in Carson, CA situated between LA and Orange counties and near the prime industry access in both marketplaces. We are a convenient commuter school for work and attending school. You can live on Campus with great accommodations of traditional dorms or apartments.
