GED 501 Seminar in Learning and Development (3 units)

GED 500 Research Methods in Education (3)
Examination of assumptions and techniques of educational research. Review of pertinent research studies emphasizing their applicability to educational problems. Statistical concepts, research methodology and computer applications are included.

GED 501 Seminar in Learning and Development (3)
Theory, research and practice related to learning and development. Emphasis on biological and psychological factors in individual differences. Includes study of affective and cognitive development. Three hours of seminar per week.

Note:

  • The two additional MA courses are taken together during a summer session for an additional summer tuition right after the School Leadership Program (SLP) Preliminary Administrative Services Credential coursework. Courses offered if budget allows. The two MA classes are not part of the SLP cohort and are taught in a traditional structure of a 6-week Summer term.

  • If you already earned a masters degree and may have previously taken equivalent courses within the past seven years, please consult with the Program Director to determine eligibility of substitution for any of the required MA courses. Review and approval for course substitution is required by the Program Director/Department Chair.
