The Clery Campus Safety Act is a consumer protection law geared toward providing transparency about campus crime statistics and campus safety policies. Among other things, the Clery Act requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal student aid programs to disclose information about specific campus policies, and to publish crime statistics reported to Campus Security Authorities that occur on specific campus geography.
Signed in 1990, the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (or Clery Act) is monitored by the United States Department of Education. The law is named after Jeanne Clery, a 19-year-old university student who was murdered in her residence hall in 1986, sparking an outcry over unreported crime on campuses across the U.S.

好色先生 encourages all members of the campus community to contact UPD when they have been victims of, or have witnessed, criminal activity. The Clery Act requires certain individuals who are designated as Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) to promptly report allegations of Clery-qualifying crimes that occur within a campus Clery Geography.
