Online Student Access

Introduction to Academic Technology Services

Most CSUDH courses, whether on campus or online, utilize an online learning management system ("LMS") — using the Canvas LMS platforms. In addition, to be able to participate in online courses, students may need to use the Zoom videoconferencing system, which is accessed through the course's LMS.

1️⃣ First, you will need your login credentials:

CSUDH Student Login Credentials (including your Student ID, Toromail, Password, and Duo Authentication)

(Issued 2-3 days after enrollment in first course)

Students who have NOT already received login credentials should contact the College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) Registration Office during business hours:

Students who have received their login credentials but are having difficulty with logging in should contact the CSUDH IT Help Desk at:

Zoom System Requirements

  • An internet connection* – broadband wired or wireless (4G/LTE+)
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth (note: students can use the microphone and receiver built into their smart phone, earphones with a microphone are recommended)
  • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in (strongly recommended, not required)
  • Or, a HD cam or HD camcorder with video capture card

Tip: Download the app for desktop, tablet or smartphones.

For students using corporate/government/restricted access devices: Please check with your organization's IT services to ensure that you'll be able to access CSUDH's Canvas, Zoom, and Toromail resources prior to your first class session.
