EMT Recertification Courses

EMT Recertification Courses: Renew Your EMT Certification!

EMTs are required to renew their certification every two years, which includes completing continuing education hours and demonstrating their skills through a hands-on skills exam.

CSUDH’s EMT recertification course collection includes both components:

  • HSX 907: 24-hour EMT Refresher Course
  • NHGH 907: EMT Skills Competency Verification (with completed EMSA SCV Form)

    • NOTE: On-Demand EMT Skills Competency Verification courses are available! If you need a course right away to renew your certification, please contact us at extassist@csudh.edu.

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Refresher Course (HSX 907) and Skills Competency Verification sessions (NHGH 907) are designed to refresh and update the EMT’s knowledge and skills as well as satisfy EMT recertification requirements.

Participants may enroll in both the Continuing Education Certificate (HSX 907) and the Skills Competency Verification (NHGH 907) or may take them individually, depending on their recertification needs.

Please visit to determine your recertification education needs, and email extassist@csudh.edu if you have any questions.
