Jorge

Jorge Arredondo

Multiple Subject Credential Program

As with so many students attending CSUDH, I am a first-generation Chicano student who paved the way for future generations of my family to succeed through education. With the generous support of the Toro Teach LA Scholarship and the Ballmer Group, that paved road has multiplied a million times over. This is because I am an Intern working as a LAUSD Teacher in the heart of Los Angeles, serving a community in need and, most importantly, innocent, deserving, and loving students whose futures I will foster and support to the best of my ability. The support I have received through this scholarship has already directly impacted my students by providing an inclusive, welcoming environment that I could not have created on my own.
