This experience led to the development of an acute care elective course in 2019, designed to give student practical skills and confidence before fieldwork. Dr. Taosuvanna completed her Occupational Therapy Doctorate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2024, focusing on educating interprofessional healthcare workers about occupational therapy in the cardiac acute care settings.
