BIO

Cindy Carrillo, MSOT, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist specializing in mental health and currently serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Occupational Therapy at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú, Dominguez Hills. A proud double alumna of CSUDH, her academic journey began in 2015 and culminated in earning her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2022.

Cindy’s professional practice focuses on supporting individuals with psychiatric conditions through the development of healthy coping strategies, self-regulation skills, and meaningful occupational engagement. She has extensive experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings, where she designs and facilitates individual and group interventions using client-centered and evidence-based approaches.

Since 2020, Cindy has served as a guest speaker and mentor for undergraduate students at CSUDH and has also worked as a fieldwork educator for occupational therapy students in mental health settings. She is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, advocating for the occupational therapy profession, and inspiring future healthcare professionals through teaching and mentorship.
