This course provides a practitioner-level examination of the 2024 EM 385-1-1, using the Chief of Safety Annotated Edition as its primary text. Participants learn how to interpret requirements, develop defensible Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), satisfy government review expectations, and consistently achieve compliant field-ready execution.
This program offers a nationally distinctive course offering with the former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chief of Safety. The course is built around rea-world interpretation, enforcement approach, lessons learned and practical application. The course provides a comprehensive opportunity to learn what U.S. Army Corps of Engineers expects for EM 385-1-1 compliance. Special Emphasize will be placed on the development of Activity Hazard Analysis (AHAs) and applicable consensus standards.
This course is designed for contractors (project managers, superintendents, quality assurance/control), consultants, government employees, SSHOs, Collateral Duty Safety Officers (CDSOs), and all personnel required to comply with the safety and health regulations of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
