Kamil is a two-spirit, scholar-advocate with a deep commitment to community building, educational empowerment, and social justice. She is a proud part of the Cal State system; she completed her B.A. in Africana Studies from CSU, Dominguez Hills, where she discovered a passion for service and advocacy. She is currently a graduate student in the Chicanx Studies Program at CSU, Northridge and will graduate in the Spring of 2027.

In her professional role at La Casita, Kamil leads culturally responsive programs and workshops with a particular focus on the intersectionality of Latinx experience. She is committed to confronting rigid notions of Latinidad to further expand and deconstruct its meaning.听
