Interdisciplinary Studies is a broad-based, liberal arts and sciences major that focuses on developing exemplary skills in written and oral communication, textual analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving. IDS major is great preparation for both the workplace and for entry into graduate or professional schools. Mission

To provide a quality interdisciplinary liberal arts degree, accessible to working adult learners鈥攁ccessible in time, place, and sequence of courses.

To provide a curriculum that emphasizes strong writing skills, oral skills, and critical thinking skills (especially in analysis), as well as the ability to adapt to different learning situations.
