GIVEWhat is a First-Year Interest Group (FIG)
First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs) are for students who want an opportunity to connect with peers, faculty, and campus resources. Each FIG is unique and tailored to explore an exciting academic theme while helping students acclimate to campus both academically and socially.
In each FIG, a small cohort of students take 2-3 courses together during the fall semester. FIGs are intentionally small to maximize the interconnectivity between students, faculty, and the peer mentor, with each FIG being limited to 20-25 students. Your FIG is a place where you will feel welcome, supported, and challenged.
