Campus Coordinated Response Committee (CCRC)

Mission:

The CSUDH Campus Coordinated Response Committee (CCRC) is a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of community stakeholders dedicated to fostering campus-wide structural change. Through collaborative efforts, the CCRC works to prevent Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking (DVSAS) and ensure a comprehensive, trauma-informed response for faculty, staff, and students. By integrating diverse perspectives and expertise, the CCRC strives to create a supportive, inclusive, and respectful campus environment where all individuals are empowered and protected from violence.Ìý

History:

The CCRC was established in 2017 by CSUDH’s Title IX Office (now the Office of Equity & Inclusion) to strengthen collaboration across campus and with community partners in Carson to address interpersonal violence.Ìý

In 2019, the Center for Advocacy, Prevention, and Empowerment (CAPE) received its first Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Campus Grant. This expanded the university’s trauma-informed support services and prevention education efforts, while broadening the CCRC’s leadership to include both the Title IX Coordinator and CAPE Program Director.Ìý

With a second OVW Campus Grant awarded in 2023, CSUDH further strengthened its coordinated response model by funding a dedicated OVW Project Director, who now serves as CCRC Co-Chair. This continued investment reinforces CSUDH’s long-term commitment to prevention, collaboration, and survivor-centered practices.Ìý
