How To Apply

1. Who can apply?聽

This course is open to anyone who:聽

  • Has at least one year experience in the field of education (i.e. classroom teacher, counselor, administrator, coach, paraeducator, professor, etc)
  • Understands that systems of oppression exist and must be dismantled
  • Is interested in developing embodied wellness strategies for themselves and their educational spaces
  • Is interested in developing social/healing justice leadership skills in the field of education
  • Is committed to attending all 6 class meetings and completing course assignments

2. Can folks who have joined past CrEW cohorts apply again?

Yes! We welcome returning members and will do our best to select a cohort that is balanced with new and returning members who meet the criteria above.

3. Is there financial support available to help pay for the course fee?

Yes! CrEW for Educators is committed to making wellness accessible to participants, so funding is available to subsidize the course fee for CrEW Fall 2026. Applicants are encouraged to indicate if they would like financial support on their application.

4. Do you have virtual offerings for CrEW?

Unfortunately, we do not have capacity to offer a virtual cohort. We are grateful to Candice Valenzuela for launching and leading CrEW virtual cohorts from 2023-2025 and being a significant thought partner when CrEW was born in 2023. We have now transitioned to focusing our energy and resources on building organizational capacity locally through in-person offerings in Southern California. If any virtual offerings open in the future, we will share updates on our Instagram page.

5. How much is the course fee?

Registration for CrEW Fall 2026 is $825 and is based on 3 Extension Units. Participants will be notified of admission into CrEW at the end of May 2026 and will be required to register and pay course fees via the College of Continuing and Professional Education by July 23, 2026.
