Research Overview

The central focus of my research is on race/ethnicity as a developmental context for adolescents. I am particularly interested in how multiple levels of the school environment, including the racial/ethnic composition of schools, classrooms, and friendship networks shape psychosocial and academic outcomes, as well as intergroup relations and prejudice. By identifying how both contextual factors and individual differences effect risk and resilience for racially/ethnically diverse youth, the findings from this work offer insights into strategies that promote positive development and reduce inequities across racial/ethnic lines.Ìý
