Victor Murillo Graduated Cum Laude with honors in the major in the Spring of 2025, earning a B.A. in History/Social Sciences. During his tenure at Dominguez Hills, he participated in various leadership opportunities throughout the campus that helped him build a resum茅 full of community engagement and leadership.

He was an entertainer on campus, hosting his "Dawn of Man" radio show, where he curated multiple episodes that analyzed undervalued historical events that occurred throughout World War I. He also served as the sole 2024 Panetta Congressional Intern from CSUDH selected by then University President Dr. Thomas Parham. The prestigious program gave Victor the chance to be mentored under the wing of former CIA Director Leon Panetta, in Monterey CA and work on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. in the office of Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) during a whole fall semester. Victor's time in the nation鈥檚 capital exposed and motivated him to pursue a career in policy, where he knew that he could make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. After his return from Washington, Victor spent his last semester aiding the University's History Club as the Social Media Manager.聽

He could not have done any of this without the assistance of his great mentors at Dominguez Hills. He sincerely聽appreciates the guidance that Dr. Kerry Shannon, Dr. Andrea Johnson, and Raul Rubio who prepared聽Victor for each obstacle and endeavor that came his way. Since graduating in May of 2025, Victor has worked in the office of U.S. Senator Alex Padilla's聽Los Angeles office assisting in constituent services during a heated summer that included mass ICE raids that impacted the state of California. As of January 2026, he now continues his civil service working as a full-time council aide in the District Office of Los Angeles City Councilman Tim McOsker.聽
