Following graduation in May 2024, I took a full semester off from academic work and focused on my contracting business. I applied to the Los Angeles Unified School District in January. After a lengthy onboarding process, I am now working as a provisional Moderate/Severe Special Education teacher for LAUSD, at Birdielee V. Bright Elementary School, Los Angeles. My class is comprised of eight neurodivergent students with two dedicated full-time assistants. I am planning to enroll in credentialing coursework at either Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State Long Beach, or Cal State Fullerton this fall, although my principal has suggested at a fast-track pathway for my credentialing directly through LAUSD.
