Thank you for applying to CSUDH. Over the next few months, each application will be reviewed with special attention.听听

Setup Student Account

Your MyCSUDH Student Portal is an online service that allows CSUDH applicants to check the status of their admissions application, view your To Do list, access important financial aid updates, and much more. To set up your MyCSUDH Student Portal, follow all the steps outlined below.

  1. Locate Your Student ID: Your official Student ID Number听is located in听the top-left corner of this communication.
  2. Locate Your Username and Temporary Password: Visit the page and enter four of the five requested pieces of personal information to retrieve your username and temporary password.
  3. Register Your Phone Number and Email Address: Go to the听听page听and click on New Users/Account INFO. Use the format: 'user@campus.csudh.edu' when asked to enter your campus email or User Principal Name (UPN). View our tutorials on how to and how to .
  4. Set Up Your Security Questions: Create and save your security questions in the SSPR system. View our tutorial on how to for more information.
  5. Reset Your Password: Select听"Existing Users"听and change your temporary password to a permanent password that meets the password requirements.听Please note that your temporary password is only valid for your听initial听login.
  6. Set Up Duo Multi-Factor Authentication: Visit the听听and complete your Duo Multi-Factor Authentication setup.

How to Log in and Navigate your myCSUDH portal听
To check your application status at MyCSUDH, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Admissions tab and select "Application Status." You will find the Application Status at the top of the page.
  2. Review your To Do List and determine which official transcripts you must send to the Office of Admissions. A 鈥淭o Do List鈥 is a list of any items outstanding to complete an admissions application or admissions requirement (i.e. high school transcript, college transcript, etc). 听

    Admissions Status is typically released on a designated date for each term.

    For Spring 2027, admission decisions will begin to be emailed starting on July 9, 2026. After this date, you can check your Campus Account at My.CSUDH.edu for the most current status of your application. Please note that the application status will not be available in your student portal before August 9, 2026.

    Once an admission decision is made, the Office of Admissions & Recruitment will email you, and the decision will also be available on your MyCSUDH portal.

Official transcripts are required to render an admissions decision, so you must check your MyCSUDH portal鈥檚 To-Do list. This will help you determine the documents/official transcripts needed to complete your application. This proactive step will ensure your application is reviewed and an admission decision is made promptly.

Note: If you recently submitted your application and have not yet received an email from our campus, please allow up to four days for processing and to receive an acknowledgment email from the campus. If you still have not received any communication regarding your admissions application, please contact us at admissions@csudh.edu.

Change of Major
  • Spring 2027: No Change of Major requests will be processed.听
  • Fall 2027 admitted students are eligible to request a change of major through April 1, 2027. Please follow the instructions emailed to you and submit the Change of Undergraduate Major for Newly Admitted Students Form to Dropbox by April 1, 2027.

Please note that you will be expected to attend New Student Orientation based on the major indicated in your admission email. The New Student Orientation is a comprehensive program designed to help you transition to university life. It includes academic advising, class registration, and information about campus resources and services.听

Admissions Undergraduate Deadlines

If additional information is needed to complete your application and make an admissions decision, it will be added to your To Do List on MyCSUDH. 鈥

Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions (including those reported on the application) must be submitted to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment for a complete review of your application.

    • Transfer Applicants: Document deadline is October 15, 2026.
    • RN-BSN Applicants: Document deadline is November 29, 2026.
    • Organizational Leadership Studies and Quality Assurance: Document deadline is November 29, 2026.

    Fall 2027 Admissions

    • First-Time, First-Year (Freshman) Applicants: Document deadline is June 30, 2027.
    • Transfer Applicants: Document deadline is June 30, 2027.
    • RN-BSN Applicants: Document deadline is June 1, 2027.
    • Organizational Leadership Studies and Quality Assurance: Document deadline is July 15, 2027.

Denied Admissions

Admission decisions are based on the evaluation of the information reported on your Cal State Apply admission application, and/or received academic records. If you want to appeal the admission decision, please visit csudh.edu/admissionappeals听for information about the appeals process.

Withdrawn Admissions
