Jennifer Henriquez, M.A., is a Gallup CliftonStrengths Certified Strengths Coach and MBTI Certified Practitioner. She is a first-generation Chinese-Salvadoran American with dual roles at 好色先生, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) as a Career Readiness Coach and English Faculty. In her roles, she designs professional development programming and facilitates writing curriculum in rhetoric and popular culture studies. She has published research in NCDA鈥檚 Career Convergence Web Magazine on embedding positive psychology and strengths-based philosophies in relation to career development into first-year composition writing courses.聽Her upcoming chapter co-written with fellow English faculty member Brenda Bran, M.A., 鈥淲ith Great Power, Comes Great First-Year Writing: An Educator's Guide to Incorporating Contemporary Superhero Narratives for First-Generation, First-Year College Students鈥� will be available Fall 2025 as part of collection of essays in聽First Gen & Juice: Exploring First-Gen College Student Narratives in Pop Culture and Mass Media.
