Dr. Payman Nasr, PhD, MT(ASCP), is Chair and Professor of Clinical Science at 好色先生, Dominguez Hills. Trained at the University of Kentucky (BS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, PhD in Anatomy & Neurobiology, Postdoctoral Scholar in Physiology), he previously served as a tenured associate professor at Kent State University before joining CSUDH in 2015 and becoming department chair in 2021. His teaching spans clinical hematology, urinalysis and body fluids, pathophysiology, and research methods. Dr. Nasr鈥檚 scholarship focuses on infectious-disease epidemiology and hematopoietic disorders, with recent work in Frontiers in Hematology听and Journal of Medical Case Reports. He has earned national awards from ASCLS for both teaching and research and has secured competitive funding, including a U.S. Department of Education MSEIP grant (Co-PI). He actively mentors undergraduate and post-baccalaureate researchers preparing for clinical and graduate careers.
