First Time Freshmen

Transferring Students

Graduate Applicants

Students applying to undergraduate degree programs with no previous coursework at a college or university are considered first鈥搕ime freshmen.

You may be qualified for international freshman admission, if you 鈥�

1. Have a high school diploma;
   
   
2. Have earned a GPA of 3.0 (B grade, A=4.0) or better for all the courses taken; and
   
   
3. Have met 听requirement -
   
   1) 听English LANGUAGE TEST
   听 听 听 听TOEFL score of:听
   听 听 听 听 听 500 (paper-based),
   听 听 听 听 听 61 (internet-based),听
   听 听 听 听 听 173 (computer-based)
   
   听 听 听 听Or,听IELTS score of 5.5
   

   2) 听500 in SAT Critical Reading,

   3) 听22 in ACT English,

   4)听听3 in AP English Language and Literature, OR

   5) 听A satisfactory score in听, or

   听

Students applying to undergraduate degree programs with a high school diploma and some coursework at a college or university are considered 鈥渢ransfer鈥� applicants.

You may be qualified for international freshman admission, if you 鈥�

1. Have good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 (C grade, A=4.0) or better for all the undergraduate courses taken, including Math;听and

2. Have met 听requirement -
   听
   1) 听English LANGUAGE TEST
   听 听 听 听TOEFL score of:听
   听 听 听 听 听 500 (paper-based),
   听 听 听 听 听 61 (internet-based),听
   听 听 听 听 听 173 (computer-based)
   
   听 听 听 听Or,听IELTS score of 5.5

Students who have earned a degree equivalent to a four-year U.S. bachelor鈥檚 degree may apply for a master's degree. These applicants are considered 鈥済raduate鈥� applicants.

You may be qualified for international graduate admission, if you 鈥�

1. Have a bachelor degree;
   
   
2. Have earned a GPA of at least 2.5 (A=4.0) on the last degree completed or have attained a GPA of at least 2.5 in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted; and
   
   
3. Have met 听requirement -听
   听 听 听 听TOEFL score of:听
   听 听 听 听 听 550 (paper-based),
   听 听 听 听 听 80 (internet-based),听
   听 听 听 听 听 213 (computer-based)
   
   听 听 听 听Or,听IELTS score of 6.5. 听
