The College of Business Administration and Public Policy awarded approximately $45,071 to CBAPP students for the 2025-2026 academic year. CBAPP scholarship applications are usually made available in the spring semester for award distribution in the next academic year. These scholarships are only available to students with declared majors in the College of Business Administration and Public Policy who meet the eligibility criteria.

Scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 academic year closed on 2/28/25.

The CBAPP scholarships that are usually available each year are noted below. Students must maintain all eligibility criteria during the award year in order to be awarded scholarship funds.

Alane March Endowed Scholarship | $1,000 | •must be an undergraduate transfer student from a community college •must be a Business Major •must be taking a minimum of 9 units (6 units for graduate) •preference to students who attended either Cerritos College or Warren High School, or both •preference for a student with a 3.0 GPA or greater |
CBAPP Alumni Endowed Scholarship | $1,000 | •be a CBAPP student •demonstrate financial need via personal statement |
CBAPP General Scholarship | $2,000 | •be a current CSUDH CBAPP student |
Carson Companies Scholarship | Full in-state tuition and mandatory fees, annual renewal of award until graduation | •pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration •3.5 GPA or above •demonstrate financial need via personal statement |
Chiou-Hsiung "Bear" Chang Scholarship | $5,000 | •be a CBAPP student in good academic standing •have a declared major within CSUDH’s CBAPP •indicated their intention to graduate from CBAPP •applicants must submit a short personal statement |
Donald Jones Endowed Memorial Scholarship | $2,000 | •be a Criminal Justice Administration major at CSUDH •be a U.S. citizen •has already demonstrated a strong ability to succeed in a university environment •currently holding at least a "C" average overall, and at least a "C+" average in Criminal Justice Administration coursework •submit CSUDH transcript •capable of demonstrating their need for financial assistance, due to low income or large family size •be willing to use the award to offset the cost of books, tuition, and lodging associated with the pursuit of their degree •turn in a complete scholarship application and comply with all dates and deadlines associated with the dispensation of this award •has expressed a strong desire to pursue a professional career in the field of law enforcement |
Gil & Shirley Smith Scholarship | $1,000 | •demonstrate a need for financial assistance •be a continuing undergraduate CSUDH CBAPP student with at least one semester of coursework remaining •possess a minimum 3.0 GPA, either major or overall |
Jerry Groomes Endowed Scholarship | $1,000 | •be a CSUDH graduate or undergraduate student majoring in Public Administration •be enrolled in classes at CSUDH during the semester for which he/she applies for the scholarship •possess a minimum 3.0 GPA •be in good academic standing with the university during tenure of the scholarship |
Leonard Moite Memorial Scholarship | $1,000 | •be an undergraduate junior or senior CSUDH CBAPP student with a declared concentration in Finance •be enrolled in at last two Finance or two Economics classes during the semester for which student applies for the scholarship •Junior or Senior class standing •3.0 minimum GPA •committed to continuing their education and attaining a Master's Degree, doctorate or Professional Degree via personal statement •be in good academic standing with the university •submit a copy of their CSUDH transcripts •upload a letter of recommendation from a Finance faculty member |
Roger W. Berry Ph.D. Endowed Scholarship | $2,000 | •have a declared major within CSUDH's CBAPP •be a US citizen •minimum 3.0 GPA •be a full-time student •be enrolled in CSUDH courses during the award year |
Thomas Burrows Scholarship | $2,500 | •have a declared major within CSUDH’s CBAPP, preferably with a concentration in Management •be a junior or senior in the award year •possess a demonstrated record of academic achievement •demonstrate financial need via personal statement •use the funds for tuition and/or textbooks only |
Vicki I Sarmiento Memorial Endowed Scholarship | $2,000 | •student who demonstrates a commitment to reforming the criminal justice system and demonstrates an interest in improving the conditions of the justice impacted via personal statement |
