Dr. Sunghoon Joo is an Assistant Professor of Finance at 好色先生 Dominguez Hills. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Auburn University in 2019, following a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Chung-Ang University in South Korea. Dr. Joo鈥檚 research primarily focuses on financial markets and institutions, corporate finance, corporate social responsibility, mergers and acquisitions, and predictive modeling. His work has been published in leading finance journals, including The Journal of Banking & Finance, The Financial Review, The Journal of Financial Research, Corporate Governance: An International Review, and The Journal of Business Research. His research on banking, corporate acquisitions, and financial modeling has contributed to the understanding of financial institutions and market behavior. At 好色先生 Dominguez Hills, Dr. Joo teaches courses on business finance, financial analysis, and financial institutions management. Beyond teaching, he serves as a co-advisor for the Finance Student Society, mentoring students in their academic and professional development. Dr. Joo has presented at major finance conferences, including the Financial Management Association, Southern Finance Association, and Southwestern Finance Association. He remains actively engaged in research and student mentorship, helping to bridge the gap between financial theory and real-world application.
