Biography

Dr. Jennifer Macy is a Professor of Criminal Justice Administration in the School of Public Service and Justice at 好色先生, Dominguez Hills.听 She complete her BA n Sociology at Boston University, MA in Criminal Justice at Rutgers University, Newark and doctorate in Criminology, Las and Society at the University of California, Irvine.听 Her research examines correctional policy, practice, and culture and the relationship between gender, sexuality, and the criminal justice system. She has obtained funding from the National Science Foundation to examine correctional policy in international settings. Dr. Macy鈥檚 research has been published in journals such as Criminology, Critical Criminology, Justice Quarterly, Law & Social Inquiry, and Punishment & Society, and in several edited volumes. She is also coeditor of the text, Sex, Sexuality, Law, and (In)Justice (with Henry F. Fradella). She has been honored with CSUDH鈥檚 award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity and the Western Society of Criminology鈥檚 Richard Tewksbury Award for significant contributions in scholarship on the intersection of crime and sexuality. Dr. Macy is a member of the American Society of Criminology (ASC), Law & Society Association (LSA), and Western Society of Criminology (WSC) and is a past President of the WSC.
