Thrive Mentorship Program

About

The Thrive Mentorship Program, established in 2020 by Drs. Jennifer Brodmann, Kirti Celly, and Meghna Singhvi, aims to empower a new set of diverse business leaders who foster positive change and inclusion in our communities by hosting leadership and skills development workshops as well as panel discussions involving university faculty, staff and administrative leadership, business leaders, and alumni.听

Expected Outcomes

Through the THRIVE Program, we propose to increase self-efficacy and resilience among CSUDH鈥檚 largely underrepresented minority (URM) student body so that they persist, thrive, and succeed academically and professionally. These outcomes will be achieved via meaningful faculty-led college and early career workshop opportunities, including interactions with invited professionals, which will pave the way for business leadership positions.

Relevance to College Goals

The THRIVE program supports the CBAPP societal goal of ensuring accessible, inclusive, and equitable quality business education in the South Bay and larger Los Angeles area to achieve economic and social mobility through skills acquisition and career readiness. CSUDH students' diversity presents an opportunity for growing the next generation of business leaders to meet regional and national workforce needs.
